HELLO
After seeing Ollie's short review of Dark Skies a couple of posts ago I felt the urge to see the film and did so while on holiday in Finland! I had been wanting to see it for a while as it is 'from the makers of Insidious and Sinister' as the promotions for it kept screaming, both of which were very good and very scary horror films.
So if you like those will you like this? No.
Its hard to believe how bad it was, not very scary at all and just mirrored what insidious and sinister already were, mixed with an alien film. Family in a house, Son gets haunted, Scary things want to take the son. Normally this story line would be ok if pulled off correctly. But it wasn't. There is one scary part and the rest is a massive suspenseful build up to something which never happens. The whole film builds up to a stupid and unexciting end. So my advice to anyone thinking of watching this film, go and see The Conjuring (which again is from the same people). It is so so much better.
